This Privacy Policy applies to the HostDoc mobile application (the “Application”), operated by HostDoc (the “Service Provider”). The Application provides healthcare networking, recruitment, professional verification, and communication services for doctors, hospitals, consultancies, and healthcare professionals. The Application may include both free and subscription-based services.
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when You download, register, and use it. This information may include device IP address, operating system, app usage details, session duration, and application interaction history.
Professional Information
For professional verification and recruitment services, HostDoc may collect your medical registration number, government-issued ID proof, medical council certificates, specialization details, years of experience, hospital verification documents, consultancy business details, and profile photographs.
Location Data
The Application may collect your location when enabled by You. Location data is used for emergency doctor discovery, nearby hospital requirements, and location-based healthcare opportunities. Aggregated and anonymized location data may also be used for analytics and service improvement.
Chat and Communication Data
The Application stores communication records between users to facilitate job-related discussions, clarification, and professional communication after job acceptance.
Use of Information
HostDoc may use collected information to create and manage accounts, verify identities, process job applications, facilitate communication, improve platform performance, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and provide customer support.
Third Party Access
The Application may use third-party service providers including Google Play Services, Apple App Store Billing, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Push Notification Services. These providers may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Payments and Subscriptions
HostDoc offers subscription-based features. Payments are processed through Apple App Store and Google Play Store billing systems. HostDoc does not directly store payment card information.
Verification Disclaimer
HostDoc verifies user-submitted professional and institutional documents based on available records and internal review. HostDoc does not guarantee legal authenticity beyond the information submitted by the user.
Opt-Out Rights
Users may stop information collection by uninstalling the Application. Users may also request account deletion and personal data deletion by contacting support@hostdoc.in.
Data Retention Policy
HostDoc retains personal and professional data for as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations. Deleted account data may be retained for up to ninety (90) days unless required longer by law.
Children’s Privacy
The Application is intended only for individuals aged eighteen (18) years and above. HostDoc does not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of eighteen.
Security
HostDoc implements physical, technical, and procedural safeguards to protect personal and professional data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed as completely secure.
User Rights
Users may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent relating to their personal data by contacting HostDoc support. Identity verification may be required before processing such requests.
Legal Disclosure
HostDoc may disclose personal information where required by law, court orders, governmental requests, fraud investigations, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the platform.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be notified within the Application, and continued use of the Application after such changes constitutes acceptance.
